With the expected growth of air traffic, the environmental impact of aviation is expected to increase. Technological innovation and operational measures reduce environmental impact per flight and allow for sustainable growth.
We advise clients worldwide how to improve their environmental performance. Using our extensive knowledge in airspace design and airport operations we are able to propose feasible solutions to reduce our clients’ environmental impact. To70 has become a preferred supplier to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol for their environmental studies.
Our services include:
- Environmental monitoring
- Design & evaluation of noise abatement procedures
- Environmental impact assessments
Reference projects
Environmental impact assessments
As a preferred supplier of one of Europe's major hubs, To70 has contributed to several environmental impact assessments. To70 conducted project management, communication with stakeholders, writing and editing of environmental impact assessment reports, noise modelling and noise assessments, spatial impact assessment, noise insulation scheme design and assessment and third party risk assessment. The environmental impact assessments were aimed at the legislative changes, mitigating the adverse effects of aviation growth and decreasing and redistributing of noise with operational noise abatement measures.
Environmentally Responsible Air Transport (ERAT)
ERAT is an ATM research project that aims to reduce the environmental impact per flight in the extended terminal area, both for medium and high density traffic airports. Concepts of operations will be developed and validated to improve the environmental performance, but while maintaining the capacity and safety levels of air traffic.
To70 is the project manager and is also in charge of the dissemination and validation plans and performance of an environmental evaluation of the developed concepts of operations for London Heathrow. The evaluation includes the assessment of noise, emissions and fuel burn. More info at www.erat.aero.
